Not for Gene Simmons--or Richard Simmons, for that matter.
Hershey's Kissmobile |
In our quest to bring you all kinds of vehicles based on food, TheCarConnection presents the Hershey's Kissmobile, which celebrated its 10th anniversary this past weekend at theAntiqueAutoMuseum at Hershey.
Now normally, we wouldn't be interested in ten-year-old chocolate, unless we were desperate and found it buried deep in our car's center console. But this Kissmobile Cruiser is something to get excited about-and then be calmed down by its heady dose of flavonoids.
Crafted in honor of the world's neatest piece of candy, the Kissmobile rides 12 feet tall and 26 feet long, dotted with three Kisses-one theoretically Milk Chocolate-flavored, one with almonds, and one Hugs Brand. Somehow, the Cruiser has made it over 250,000 miles without a single bite taken from its exterior. Maybe that's because Hershey's reps have given out more than 2 million sample Kisses to throw off would-be devourers.
It's yummy on the outside, but the Kissmobile does have a serious purpose. Hershey's uses it to raise awareness of the Children's Miracle Network. "All money raised locally stays in the community and benefits the Children's Miracle Network hospitals," Hershey's says.
