BMW 6-Series Spied: Tweaks in Works
A mild facelift is in the
works for BMW's 6-Series, as photographed here in lightly disguised form on the
streets of
A new front air dam repositions the fog lamps — which are now placed within the center air intake — and the nose gets a little more definition thanks to a more pointed chin spoiler. The rear bumper gets similar tweaks, with redesigned reflectors and revised back-up lights.
The new 6er's headlights and taillights have also been redesigned. The black paint on the headlamps likely hides some new internal lighting elements, and the taillights have three gill-like protrusions sculpted into the outer lens, adding a little visual interest.
The styling changes represent a typically cautious mid-cycle facelift for BMW, which has been known to remain dedicated to even their most controversial designs.
